SAM Report

The SAM Report, Food Safety in the Media, is the result of the annual monitoring and analysis of press coverage concerning food safety issues in Catalonia. The Agència Catalana de Seguretat Alimentària the Food Safety Agency of the Catalan Government, and the Scientific Communication Observatory are responsible for the preparation of these reports, by collecting the published information in the largest circulation newspapers in Catalonia. This study aims to dig deeper into what information has reached the population in relation to food security: main sources of information for media, care centers, focus, etc..

Quiral Report

Quiral Report

The Quiral Report summarizes for each year the analysis of information on health and medicine published in the most widespread newspapers in Spain. Emerging from a joint initiative between the Fundació Vila Casas and the Science Communication Observatory, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, the Quiral Report has become an important sociological tool: an annual reference of the greatest concerns relating health of our society and their impact on the media.

The quarterly publication Quark aims to promote and disseminate the cultural debate on relations between science and society. Therefore, Quark is a magazine addressed to the key sectors of a society in which this cultural interaction should be regarded as a decisive factor for its own work: academics, scientists, researchers, doctors, journalists, sociologists, communication managers and institutional and business communication managers linked to the decision-making and opinion of science policy and the general public interested in the interaction between science, medicine, culture and communication.
