New monograph about food safety

The SAM Platform, constituted by the Catalan Food Safety Agency (ACSA) and the Scientific Communication Observatory (OCC-UPF), has published a new document monograph entitled "Is our food safe? Food safety in the media".

The monograph is the result of the seminar held on 1st December 2009 to release the SAM 2008 Report. Despite the absence of an initial intention to publish this monograph, presentations and discussions that were generated seemed to us rich enough in ideas and proposals to be shared with those who could not attend the event.

The document includes a summary of the contributions of the various speakers at the event, and the extensive debate about the topics that raised, between speakers and the audience. The monograph concludes with a series of recommendations for appropriate communication of food safety issues.
