The International Symposium on Biomedical Journalism will analyze the Internet's influence in health communication

On September 28, 2011, from 9:00-17:00, Dr. Antonio Esteve Foundation and the Science Communication Observatory of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra will host the International Symposium on Biomedical Journalism at the University’s communication campus in the Poblenou district of Barcelona. The event will be chaired by Vladimir de Semir and Gema Revuelta, director and vice-director of the Science Communication Observatory.

The Symposium aims to shed light on how the internet is changing the way health issues are being communicated to the public. What are some of the challenges and ethics involved in this and how is it changing the way societies inform themselves? These are just a few of the topics that eight international and national journalists and specialist in health communication will touch on during their talks.

Attendance is open to all science and communication professionals. Please send notice of your RSVP and contact details to the following email address: occ@upf.edu.

*Attendance is limited to 80 people
